Five

With a snap of my fingers, another year has gone by and my baby has turned five. She has grown up so much since last November.

Now in her third year of preschool, she is thriving and so excited to be able to graduate and go onto the “big” school (Kindergarten) next year. The coveted job at school is still “line leader”, but she also enjoys being the playground helper and giving her classmates orders to clean up. Vi is so strong, smart, sensitive, funny, sweet, honest, strong willed and sassy. She loves all things girly, but also loves to play with trucks and rocks with her brother and friends at school.

Music still plays a large roll in her life, but also dancing, accessorizing and everything cheetah print and/or kitty related. Usually playing are: The Bones (Maren Morris), Frozen II soundtrack, Havana (Camila Cabello), Air (Shawn Mendes), and Never Surrender (Shangrii-La). She recently acquired a Ukulele and now combines it with her talents of playing the Harmonica. Our family dance parties are so fun and life-giving! No doubt, they will be our lifeline durning the long winter months ahead in the midst of a pandemic.

New to her this year was soccer, she just wrapped her first official team sport season and her dad was the coach. I am a proud soccer mom (proud of both of them). I only had to stop her from pulling grass one time, HA! She very much enjoyed social aspect and of course the game Sharks and Minnows.

Vi is so sweet, she loves little kids and plays “mother hen” often. Her brother recently broke his arm and she jumped right in to help and also had to try out his sling. She likes to play doctor and often her patients Chip and Stella need fixed up. If you ask, she’d like to be a reptile handler at the zoo when she grows up.

I never want to forget these days! Violet is such a light in our lives: her smile, giggles and her snuggles are everything! <3 Happy Birthday my sweet girl, we love you to the moon and back!
